In Person Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" or “Universal energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually a "spiritually guided life force energy." Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

What do people experience during a reiki session?

During a reiki session, both practitioner, and client are experiencing energies. These energies can often feel like heat or warmth and goosebumps. It is very common for client and patient to tap into each other. This can be very beneficial as a practitioner because you can sense what the client needs without them necessarily having to verbalize. However, to receive a healing that would be most beneficial for you it is recommended to talk to your practitioner in advance. It is also very common during reiki or energy healing sessions for spirit guides, angels, ancestors, or passed loved ones to come through as the practitioner is channeling universal energy. It is important to remember that the energy the reiki practitioner is channeling universal or life force energy. That being said, the client has to give connect to receive these energies always. You will only take as much energy as you allow so in order to receive the most out of your healing keep an open mind and an open heart. Allow the life force energy to do its job.

How does distance reiki work?

Reiki is non-invasive and is used holistically to restore balance in mind, body, and spirit while promoting the body's regenerative self-healing ability. Its healing energy connects us on an energetic and spiritual level where the healing work is conducted. To understand this, we must first realize that we are more than our physical bodies. Our thoughts, emotions, feelings, ideas, perspectives, and moral beliefs all exist within us but they are not part of our physical bodies. They are energies that can affect our physical bodies but they are not physical elements. Our soul or our spirit also forms part of who we are and it is definitely not a physical element. Reiki energy connects with us through spiritual and energetic levels using the intention of the practitioner to send healing energy and the intention of the client to receive healing. Distant Reiki sessions work because energy is not limited by space or time.

In short, you can reiki anything from medications to pets, crystals, plants, and even food or beverages. The possibilities are truly endless, as everything is made of energy. I specialize in reiki jewelry, I was drawn to crystals and their unique properties from a very young age. Each crystal has a certain vibration or frequency, and can even retain memory. You can charge your crystals with Reiki symbols by projecting the symbol’s mind image into and through the crystal. It is all about positive intention and energy. Charging your crystals enables them to renew their abilities to direct and amplify energy and vibrations.
